Update on Cal Poly Humboldt Commencement Ceremonies
Cal Poly Humboldt is committed to hosting Commencement ceremonies so that graduates and their families and friends can celebrate this important milestone. Recent challenges on campus have made it impractical to hold the ceremonies as planned. Instead, there will be a series of smaller off-campus ceremonies grouped by majors at three locations in the local area. The venues and ceremony sizes will accommodate the registered graduates and their anticipated number of guests.
The Regional Commencement ceremony in the Los Angeles area will take place as scheduled. Graduates from the Los Angeles area or with family there are encouraged to consider that option.
Graduates can email grad@humboldt.edu for any registration questions, including the option of attending the Regional Commencement.

Regional Ceremony Schedule

As a way to help more families and friends celebrate with their graduate, Cal Poly Humboldt will be hosting a Spring 2024 Regional Commencement ceremony in addition to the on-campus ceremonies. Graduates may choose to register and participate in any of the ceremonies—on-campus and/or the regional ceremony. Separate registrations will be required. All majors are welcome to participate.
Regalia
A black cap and a black gown are required to participate in a Commencement ceremony. Caps, gowns, tassels, hoods, and more were available to purchase online through Herff Jones through March 22 at 8:59 p.m. PST.
Missed the online deadline? Regalia packages and individual items will be available for purchase directly at The Campus Store on the Arcata Plaza after March 22. The Campus Center for Appropriate Technology (CCAT) is also offering cap and gown rentals starting April 19. Please contact them for more details at ccat@humboldt.edu. Leis and other Commencement flowers from Haggerty Designs will be available for purchase. They offer local delivery or pick up options. Pre-sales are available and recommended to ensure availability. The last day to pre-order is May 1. Limited supplies will also be available for purchase day of Commencement for the on-campus ceremonies only.
